Force Feedback on Xbox 360 Racing Wheel using Wireless Gaming Reciever in Windows 7

I am trying to use my Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel in Windows 7 using the Wireless Gaming Receiver to connect it to my PC.

It connects fine and I can use the wheel in games, but I'm not getting any force feedback and I don't see it mentioned in the device configuration in the control panel.

This page: http://www.xbox.com/en-gb/hardware/x/xbox360wirelessgamingreceiver/ specifies that the wheel should have drivers available for Windows Vista in the future (I am guessing this page is well out of date) with force feedback but I can't find mention of these drivers anywhere.

Technically, this is a Windows 7 Driver Support question on when then Wireless Gaming Receiver drivers will be updated to provide force feedback support as was promised in the URL the previous poster provided.

I to would be interested in if this work is progressing.  If it has been cancelled you may wish to notify marketing and get them to update the page in question.

Cheers.

    Please sort this out Microsoft, So many great racing games coming up, F1 2010 and WRC to name a few. It can't be that hard surly.

    Even if you just let us know one way or another it will stop us hanging on.

    i completely agree, just bought one today and am not a happy bunny either..... i have dirt 2, grid, need for speed and was gonna get F1 2010 when released. how the ____ can microsoft get project natal off the ground if thay can't even manage a driver update.

    i just sent microsoft an email you can try if you want here is the customer support email

    i am not expecting anything back and will most likely have to send the wheel back to gamestation, it went along these lines;

    "hello, yesterday i bought a racing wheel for my pc. i was dissapointed to find the force feedback does not work on the wheel. i know it is a xbox  360 wheel but your website says it is compatible with pc. i have the wireless dongle and the wheel works but no force feedback. i found this topic regarding other people having problems;

    http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistagaming/thread/f5140785-e66b-44c6-b3e6-db62f4bd9edf?prof=required

    i checked your webpage

    http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-US/Hardware/Controllers/Pages/XboxWirelessGamingReceiverforWindows.aspx/

    i presumed by now that it would be compatible with your latest operating system windows 7 which i have as you said it was going to have a driver update for vista.

    as you see from the first link there are many more of your customers awaiting the update.

    can you please reply as soon as possible as i have only recently purchased it so can return it if an update is not going to happen."

    probaly could have done with being a bit harsher as it really is taking the michael that they still haven't released a driver for it.......

    what hope has project natal got..................... lol,

    i wouldn't give to much of your money away mr gates as the jokers you have now are losing you a ton of money.
