I can't use programs that require .NET Framework.

Windows XP environments and the only way for my tools to work was by downloading and installing .NET Framework RDs,

here is Microsoft Brief Description:

"The Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 (x86) redistributable package installs the .NET Framework runtime and associated files required to run applications developed to target the .NET Framework v2.0."

For XP, yes! XP was released in 2001 and .net 2.0 was released in 2005. Sure that it is not included in XP.

Simply download the RD and run it on Vista and see the error message. Otherwise you don't understand that you are posting wrong things.

Anyway, .NET Framework 3.5, 4.0 is NOT inlcuded under Windows Vista (or Windows 7),

this because they both were shipped later.

So one of these are required for the OP, now I am NOT sure of which. However, keep in mind

that what I am post is far more detailed and includes a lot more information then what you

have taken from my above posts. Anyway......

Andre, AFAIK, .NET Framework RDs work well, they are built for software distribution,

if I build a Windows Application and my app uses .NET Framework, then a .NET Framework

or a redistribution package is required. I know that it is INCLUDED in Windows Vista and

Windows 7, didn't you read my posts above.....?

if you are a coder, you should no, that .net 2.0 and 3.0 are buildin in Vista and the Redist files don't work.
