How to Swap Display Identity (Identities)

Windows 7 - Display 'A' Philips primary display - Display 'B' IBM secondary display.  A shows as Identity 2 and B shows as Identity 1.  I want to reverse these.  Reason is that the cursor currently travels from display B to A and I need it to go the other way - due to physical location of displays

In the Screen Resolution window, under Change the appearance of your displays , click and drag one of the monitors to its correct location vs. the other one.   The Identity numbers don't matter.

    One annoying scenario is when you have a monitor turned off and you open an application (such as Chrome or whatever) and it insists upon opening it's window onto the monitor that is turned off.  How annoying is that.  You would think that should be something that could be fixed, especially considering that windows seems able to detect when monitors are turned on or off.

    I disagree.  In following threads about this issue in intel groups and in invidia groups, everyone is pointing at microsoft.  I've also tried third party software to fix the issue. which is ineffectual. the HDMI display grab identity 1, affects audio playback switching, and where some windows open, because as has been mentioned, some programs insist that display 2 is the second display. Also, with the secondary display off, with the display adapter still set to extended, even though the resolution is correct, the cursor is still extended and can be driven off the screen.  

    Get with it Microsoft
