To all who have been having 'cursor jumps around while typing' problem. I had the same problem and had my Sony VAIO support team help me with it. They put in a fix that worked. Microsoft. It would be beneficial if you could contact Sony regarding this problem and access to the solution they put in place for me, since they seem to have found a solution to the problem.
Cursor jumps around while typing
In every application on my computer, my cursor jumps around while typing. I can not type fast because I have toconstantly bring the cursor back to where I am typing (just did it again right now). Something is wrong and needs to be fixed. I am not technical and have no idea how to fix or what forum this question belongs in. Please advise.

2018-04-01T20:39:35+00:00 I agree about the absurdity of having to repair a new $900 PC. I used to work for Apple and the biggest difference I saw between Mac users and PC users is that the PC users are all proud that they know how to fix their PC's while the Mac users aren't having to fix their Macs.

2018-03-28T23:36:18+00:00 This is my third 3rd HP comp. does this mean I have to contact HP for my cursor problem? It too jumps around while I type.
If your computer is new; then, yes, contact HP support. The solution can also be specific to which operating system you are using; so, be specific when searching for help. The easiest solution for you may be to disable the touchpad and start using a wired or wireless mouse. That worked for me.

2011-07-19T20:07:26+00:00 I too have been having this problem for months on a Fujitsu laptop with Windows 7 and it has been driving me to distraction. So a big thank you to davedock and others for the touchfreeze suggestion as I have just installed it and so far it seems to be working.
How this problem got through so called quality control beats me.

2011-06-28T07:58:26+00:00 Using touchfreeze solved this long time frustration for me. I have posted by experience and the solutions I tried for the cursor jumping problem.
I wish there was a permanent solution from Windows for this problem instead of using a third party tool as a work around.
