How many passes before defrag finishes?

I am try to defrag my hard drive. It's on its 4th pass in 24 hours. How many passes does it make before it's done?

have seen as high as 7.

they seem to get faster the further along it goes.

look into using AUSLOGICS degragger instead.

faster and also has an option to move system files to the front.

it all depends on the speed of your processor and/or the speed one of your RAM. try on a quad core processor with at least 8 gigs of RAM and see how long that takes

day 3 - pass 11

i think it depends on the amount of free space compared to the drive size. mine is only 125G and I had 7Gb left

maybe tomorrow ....
