I noticed that someone else had this problem.  Does anyone know how to fix it?

I drove my self crazy trying to remedy this dilema for two days. I finally downloaded a program from Stardock called Windows Blinds. That solved my problem.

madmike - thank you so much!  I spent the last 2 hours trying to fix this issue (background not changing) and your solution was the only one I was comfortable trying (all I know about registries is that I don't know enough about them to attempt changing it) was yours.  I tried it, it worked and I am now happy.  Thanks again!

    I have the solution...

Go to start > "regedit" Press enter

    Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

    Look for "wallpaper"

    Double click on it

Give your path to your image

    Reboot the computer..

Thanks so much!  This was an immediate fix.

I put the following in the run command:

    %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes

then deleted the bad picture, then everything worked fine after that.  It was a corrupted picture.
