I've lost the USB transceiver for my wireless keyboard/mouse set, trying to find out where I can get a replacement for it without having to get a whole new keyboard & mouse just for that one transceiver.

Microsoft Natural Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard 7000

Transceiver says "Microsoft 2.4GHz Transceiver v2.0"

thanks!

I talked with Microsoft today and, yes, the person who answered stated that there are NO replacements for the receiver, and I would have to buy a new set up.  After asking to talk to someone who had some technical knowledge and getting no where, I asked for a supervisor.  I was on hold for several minutes, but I was not going to give up.  Finally a supervisor answered and after explaining that I knew something about computers, he offered to send me a whole new unit, free of charge.  And to top that off, he said he would expidite the order and it would ship to me in 1 - 3 days.

The number that I called is 800-360-7561, option 2.  Make sure that you ask to talk to a supervisor, as the people that answer haven't a clue.  They just read off of a script.  I hope that this helps someone out there.  Microsoft wants to keep their ccustomers and WILL do what it takes to keep them.

Have a great day.

I did get help with mine, sent my old one in and got a brand new replacement, so MS does do good ,  which I admit, doesn't explain the oddly negligent things...

I still, a month or so later, can't get access to support.b2x.com to get 'warranty support' for tech support on my lumia 640 LTE.

THe page doesn't work, and no idea , at all, if MS knows about it.

support .microsoft.com for mobile ,s ends you there automatically, so you'd think 'if they were serious about support' , for their 'current' products, wouldn't things like that magically work right ?

I know Ms will continue to go amazing things, but a glarring mistake such as this, make people templed to go to mac .

I am still tempted, and if I had been a rich man a month ago, I doubt I'd still be typing this on a windows machine.

I can get a' refund' if I go to a MS store, but thats a solid 35 or so miles away, in ugly traffic in an area I rarely go due to distance and the aforesaid traffic nightmares, here in MS territory/bellevue wa.

So I" stuck it seems, anyone have a alternative ??

Windows phone 10 udpate made a mess outof my phone, and I have zero willingness to go back to 8.1 ( security alone), and I'm def. not going android, and getting another windows phone given how I"ve been treated,  aint happening.

I"ve called , and called, and called, and 'support' for window phone is a 100% dead end.

Where are they spending all this money if not on support for devices under warranty ?

Just in case someone else tidied up the set - check inside the battery compartment of the mouse - that is where the USB dongle can live when in transit.

But yes i've also lost/bent/broken the keys - very frustrating you can#t mix and match - the previous generation from MS DID allow mix and match - annoyed that they dropped that feature.

I think the only way to get MS to think a little more about their customers, is to stop buying MS products.

I bought this set and now I lost the little USB. I will not buy a new set and I will not buy any MS hardware moving forward. if everyone does like me, MS will be forced to stop these F***ed up habits and start thinking what's good for their customers.

    a very disappointed customer!
