Typing Issues (Jumping cursor...moves my text to another line while typing)

Someone please help with this Issue!!!  Everytime I type my cursor jumps around and I have to keep going back and deleting and retyping.  Please help

I have a sony VAIO and this problem is driving me crazy

Hi Tim,

Are you using a laptop by chance?  If so, you can resolve this issue by taking a look at your touchpad options.  If you're using Windows 7, click the Start button, type Mouse in the search field, and click Enter.  There should be an option to change the Device Settings for the TouchPad.  On many models, Synaptics is the maker of the TouchPad and has a Tab of its own in the Mouse properties.  If you don't see these settings, you'll need to install the drivers from your manufacturers website. 

For Dell machines, you can go to support.dell.com.  Select your model and you'll find the driver under Input Device Drivers.  For Compaq/HP machines, go to support.hp.com, select your model and find Keyboard, Mouse and Input devices.

I like to disable the Tap option and raise the PalmCheck sensitivity option.   These are the first options I always change when I get a new laptop; otherwise I have the very same problem.

    Hi there, I have been struggling with this problem for months on both of my laptops.  I have just downloaded TOUCHFREEZE from google and its stopped the problems immediately.  It runs in the background every time you enter text and ive just typed this whole paragraph without one hitch, whereas before installing this it would have taken me ages, losing text and retyping misspelt words... give it a try, ive got a Dell and and Acer and both have been cured, fantastic! :D

    My issue just started after I installed the updates for Office 2010.  I called Microsoft and they want to charge me the 99.00 to fix my keyboard.  I was running Office 2010 for over a year with no issues.  I installed a new 2010 program and my problems started.  I am not anywhere near my touch pad and it still happens.  I use an external mouse.

    Good Morning Barbara:

    I got myself going earlier to find the spot to fix the Mouse, and found it but I didn't have

    any Mouse property application.  So went to support.dell.com and I found a spot which

    directed me press F12 to enable the Mouse on a Dell Laptop with Windows 7 as the Ope-

    rational System and it worked.  I am sure that what I read in your comments gave me

    initiative to search a little deeper to find the way.  Thank you, Kindly.

    I was using Microsoft started today, and I was having problems with the typed lines jumping

    around; so I decided to search for help and I found the the answer that you have given Tim.
