How do I copy home movies on a DVD to my computer?

Home made (non-copy protected) DVDs are easy...

just insert the DVD in your DVD drive...go to...Start /

Computer...right click the icon for the DVD Drive and

choose Explore...you should see the directory of the DVD.

Now...copy/paste or drag/drop...the 'VIDEO_TS' folder

from the DVD to a new folder (renamed to the name of

the corresponding DVD) on your hard drive and that's it.

If you had VLC Media Player on your system (for example)

you could right click the VIDEO_TS folder and choose...

"Play With VLC Media Player" and the video will play.

These files can be several Gigabytes so copying can take

some time...have patience.

    I got this fixed long ago. People still send emails on this and I don't know how to stop them. I don't need anything further on this subject.

    As FM do you not check the user's profile before replying? If you did you would see that he/she has posted the same Q elsewhere and it has been marked as 'answer' (without any further input from DanielIaniro anyway) - It's just resurrecting posts that don't need it IMHO - Ric.
