hi please can someone help as i can't figure out how to switch on the inbuilt webcam on my sony viao i'm on windows 7 !!!!!

Hi Sarah,

Steps to turn on integrated WebCam on Sony Vaio Laptop

a.    Click on Start and then click on All programs.

b.    Go all the way to the bottom until you see “Arcsoft Webcam companion”

c.    Click on it and then click on Webcam companion 3 to turn your webcam.

That’s it.

    The final of the problem.

    1. go to windows folder, find the files: "model.*" look there you will find the model of your laptop,

    OR

    open dos command and type "systeminfo" you will get info for your pc, i marked the line for you:

    C:\Users\IL>systeminfo

    Host Name:                 IL-PC

    OS Version:                6.1.7 Service Pack 1 Build 7

    OS Manufacturer:           Microsoft Corporation

    ..... 2. Than go to the following site, find your model there and install all drivers you need according to your Opereting system, like: "WINDOWS 7" etc...

    I had to send my laptop back to Sony for repair. Looks like some others had success using advice in this thread.

    Hi ive been trying to get my sony vaio my laptop is a 64 bit system and i can not find the webcam i tried what u said but it was not there do u have any idea were it could be.
