How to add lyrics and album art using windows media player 12 on Windows 7 ??

When i am using windows xp with WMP 11, adding lyrics, album art  and even synchronized lyrics is so easy, just right click the song, then select advanced tag editor.

The Advanced Tag Editor (ID3 tag editor), which allows users to edit information, is such an important feature, but I don't understand why Microsoft actually remove this feature.

So may i ask, how to add lyrics and album art in WMP 12. Find album info feature in WMP12 is really not that useful.  Japanese, korean and chinese songs when using find album info, usually nothing is found.

WMP12 is really irritating.

That's because you can't do it inside the WMP12. You have to do it from the windows explorer, right click on the file > properties > Summary > Advanced > then you can add the lyrics inside the lyrics field... you see it's really a hustle :(

Hi, I think that i might be able to help; I havn't tried this yet but I'm convinced that it'll work.

If you've got Windows Vista/XP then change the lyrics for ONE SONG for now then you transfer the song to the Windows Media Player 12 computer then you activate lyrics (Ctrl+3 which will bring you to visualisation then you right-click look at the drop down menu Lyrics, Captions and Subtitles then click on if available (if you already have lyrics, ok, but you wont have them when you are offline so I suggest you disable thelyrics plugin that you might of downloaded on the above possible solution))

You may have heard about this plugin for Windows media player that automaticaly adds lyrics to songs. I was scepticle at first, maybe a scam or a virus. But I'm serious it really works. You just search for lyrics plugin for windows media player. They even have a tutorial video on youtube. It works like a miracle. And it you don't get the right lyrics, you can edit them. It works for foreign languages like Japanese too. It puts them in romaji for me, and then gives the translation. It's great.

    Thanks Sirturanov!

i must say, up until now i've been relatively happy with win 7 and WMP 12; you see i was raised on wimamp and vlc, and i would never use WMP, in any form, unless it was absolutely vital.

since getting windows 7, the only media player i've used has been WPM 12 - it was easy to use straight off the bat; sure the different layout has been a slight point of contention but apart from that it has been a breeze.

Unfortunately, the lack of compatibility with zune and apple (in my case an ipod) and the inability to edit ID3 Tags has dealt WMP 12 a massive blow and greatly tarnished the satisfaction i felt before. It seems as if WMP 12 is only silver-plated and is beginning to loose it's shine.

    Maybe it's time i re-embraced winamp.

Friss, about adding album art. just drag  the album picture (saved in your PC) to the library (on your MP12)  , and drop it on the album art field . Make sure that your viewing option is on  "expanded tile " .
