Window 7 will can not Backup or let me do a system image backup.

I have just upgraded to Windows 7, but when I try to do a complete backup or system backup, it fails.

I started to do a full backup to dvd, it took hours and stopped  at 84%,  I also tried to backup with system image, but this faild,  I tried to backup to an external drive 80GB drive and window said this wasn’t big enough.

Why cant I  backup Windows 7.

    OK Microsoft big dogs. This old okie is tired of trying to fix your screw ups. I deleted all back up images and restore points. I used your reset link to start all over. I cleaned up my USB's. The back up feature no longer works as it did. I can create a back up image with W7 and restore that image with the rescue CD, but the W7 feature does not work like it used to. I know you wish that I would go away and that's exactly what I'm going to do. I have two 3rd party apps that works perfectly and I can also use the rescue CD that I made with W7 to restore my OS to the day that I created the W7 back up image, and that works perfectly also. If you have any computer knowledge, you will realize that I'm not stupid. A little retarded maybe??? W7 refuses to back up the Library and frankly I could give a xxxx. I can live with this minor glitch perfectly well. My only grip right now is you MVP's are over rated and I'm really wondering if you have a clue or even care.

    I fought the Chinese for 6 months about the law suite with MBAM and I think I won. They stole data from MABA and that makes them a thief. You may disagree, but you will see that they have a less than favorable rating with WOT. I fought off 720 attempts to hack my PC from the Chinese. I have no use for them any more. Yes I'm the dreaded garybear and I have no regrets. I will continue to express my freedom of speech on these forums and I will continue to be banned . That really is no concern to me any more. I listen to my creator and my heart. Please reply if you have the courage.

    PS. I very sorry if I have offended anyone here, but I;m really tired of big ego's that refuse to listen. I'm a cancer survivor and one tough SOB. You can beat me here, but you can't beat me in real life.

    I had more faith in you Stephen. Looks like this is just one more problem Microsoft will ignore and then wonder why they are getting a bad name. No skin off my nose, I'll just use 3rd party to back up my OS. Just like I did before W7 was created. I'm not hoping for any replies here. Looks to me that Microsoft hopes these complaints just ride off into the sunset. LOL. It's just sad that some people have big fancy titles and don't know squat. I'm just a self taught cancer survivor helping seniors in my retirement village with their PC's and never charging one cent for my help.

    That's really sad all you Microsoft MVP's and you have 53 reply's to a problem you know exists and don't have a answer for. I guess that's why a lot of people think badly of Microsoft. I'm not expecting a reply, but it would be nice. Error OX80070002????

    I'm not really sorry for my conduct here. I have tried every thing suggested and I;m still not able to use this back up feature that Microsoft uses to sell this software.(W7) I'm sure Microsoft will some day solve this problem. Until they do, I will use a 3rd party, and that is a very sad my friend Stephen boots. You can do better. I'm just a little unknown cancer survivor that trys my best to make a difference in the PC world. I'm not a big Geru or IT Teck and I'm sure you can ban me from this site, but I have had my say today!

    PS I can create a image of my OS and restore that image with the restore CD and that is good enough for me. I'm always available.
