Managing tabs, address bar, and search settings in Edge on Windows 11
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I've already disabled Copilot in the sidebar. I've toggled off "Chat response on result page" in the search settings. I want the Copilot AI disabled from the search result page, preventing automatic chatboxes on searches, and not activating when scrolling to the top of the results page.

Hi Bob,
I might be cynical but, if you're using Bing (an M$ search engine) within Edge (an M$ browser) then they are going to do everything to ensure you get the M$ UX, whether that's what you want or not. You're up against brand identity I'm afraid.
I gave up on Bing shortly after it first came out and I discovered that it just doesn't cut the mustard. It hasn't really impressed me much since whenever it has re-injected itself during various upgrades. I have therefore set my search engine in Edge to use Chrome and removed Bing. This, and the regedit removal of the CoPilot has given me back control of my UX.

This policy setting allows you to turn off Windows Copilot.
If you enable this policy setting, users will not be able to use Copilot. The Copilot icon will not appear on the taskbar either.
If you disable or do not configure this policy setting, users will be able to use Copilot when it's available to them.
