I have Windows 10 Pro running my computer and would like to completely get rid of Edge. I don't use it and don't plan on ever using it so it's basically just a nuisance to me. Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I know, it isn't possible to get rid of Edge completely. However, you can install some other web browser and set it as the system default.

A person has to be a dedicated Microsoft supporter to take on this voluntary job as moderator of the forum. So it is understandable for them to show some degree of "ownership" for the company.
I sometimes use a second laptop using Windows 7. Microsoft nags at me to change to Internet Explorer.

start control panel
start programs&compnents
there you find Microsoft Edge
click Remove
and ......... its gone
Some widgets shall stop working since the rely in edge :(
