I have Windows 10 Pro running my computer and would like to completely get rid of Edge. I don't use it and don't plan on ever using it so it's basically just a nuisance to me. Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I know, it isn't possible to get rid of Edge completely. However, you can install some other web browser and set it as the system default.

With 10, Microsoft favors the use of their other products, say Edge and Onedrive. With 11, Microsoft increases the pressure to use them, thus the reason for this original posting.
I have used every Windows edition, each time getting used to the changes. But with Win 11, I could not accept losing my options to easily choose, for example, Chrome. Yes I could choose, but it was awkward and Edge kept coming back. Irritating. Other features of Win 11 are simply not to my liking, I could go on complaining but won't.
I bought a new laptop with Win 11 installed. I simply could not accept it, even after trying for months. I returned it, then ordered online a new Dell with Win 10. Much happier now.
After trying all possible ways as mentioned in many sources and nothing has helped, I have taken a layman approach, searched for edge in entire system and deleted all files (which ever the system could delete only) . Now downloaded Edge and installed. :-) It worked for me.
Edge is junk that is snooping and marketeting and just does not work right. It is garbage.
