I get the pop-up that says " iCloud encountered an error connecting to the server ". However, if I connect to a mobile hotspot, iCloud works without any issue on Edge! Observations I am able to access iCloud through my iOS device (iPhone) connected to the same high-speed broadband Wifi connection. iCloud.com is accessible on Edge browser only if my PC is connected to the internet via a mobile (4G/5G) hotspot connection. The issue does not occur at all on Firefox (irrespective of the connection mode)! Any clues on how to solve this issue? I spent 3 days with apple and microsoft on the phone trying to get my icloud to open and also link to my newly purchased Outlook 2021. I purchased the new version of Outlook 2021 because I was assured it would fix the sync issue and to my surprised created even more issues. I ran across this solution and implemented it this morning and it worked! My Icloud now opens and it also showed the option to sync contacts and calendars again!!! I normally don't comment on these forums but this was so frustrating and I burned up so much time at work trying to solve this, I figured if I could save others that same frustration, I would. Thank you for this!!!! I had to dive a little deeper to find where I could turn this off. Settings - Network Internet - Network Connections - Network/ Internet - Network Sharing - Change Adapter Settings - Right click on Wifi - Properties (and then there it was!)

Since disabling IPv6, everything is fully back to normal. My HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 is available both via WiFi and USB, both printing and scanning. This is an interesting issue with the IPv6. I would like to hear from Microsoft on the issue. It is very strange how, on my computer, both Chrome and Edge ceased to connect to iCloud; however, Firefox had no issues. A third party app I use to sync my Outlook calendar to my iPhone and my wife's iPhone also ceased to sync Outlook with iCloud (the software vendor said it was a Microsoft problem). Another strange issue on connecting to iCloud was that I could tell either browser was getting to the site based on the screen background and the simple iCloud logo in the upper left corner of the screen. This meant I hit the site and my browser started to render a small part of the iCloud homepage before returning the connection error. If I sat at the computer and repeatedly clicked the browser's refresh icon, I would get to the iCloud login maybe 1 out of 10-15 tries. Of those few homepage successes, I was able to login maybe 1 out of 30 tries.

Edge and Chrome are both built on the same underlying Chromium code base (which is an open-source web browser): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromium\_(web\_browser) This is most likely a bug in Chromium itself, which therefore impacts both Edge and Chrome, but not Firefox (since it is built on a different code base).

Can’t reach the feedback hub through either link. I just want clarification. I can connect to iCloud through Firefox on the same win11 PC with the same network settings as usual.. the server connection error started after the latest Edge update! I reinstalled win 11 with a fresh install which took me forever as I’m an Audio/visual super user. The connection worked until it picked up the latest Edge or Win update. Very frustrating that we are all having this issue while Microsoft twiddles it’s fingers…

I'm just here to confirm that disabling IPv6 helped me resolve this issue.

Alternatively, switching to Google Public DNS also resolved the issue as per users on Reddit. To know step-by-step instruction to switch to Google Public DNS check out this guide -- <link removed>
