It seems ever since my laptop updated to Windows 11, I get this error for trying to access Costco or Lego.

This is BS. It should not matter if this is a MS site. It is not ther problem. It is MS!

Hopefully, you have had a chance to read through the previous entries. There is a lot of good information in there. Personally, it appears my issue is resolved now. I just read yesterday (5/14/2024) that both Microsoft (Windows and Edge) and Google Chrome announced mitigations for key Zero Day threats. All should install these right away. Everyone should run Windows Update and Update your browsers (Chrome and/or Edge). Also, run virus scans (my system has yet to report a virus).

My system must have been infected as a result of one of these. The result of the infection is the IP for my WiFi router was getting blacklisted by one site. Then I would have partial or full access to certain sites blocked (eg, Costco, Ace Hardware, Home Depot, ...). This is a result of the issue with Windows or the browser.

In order to restore access, I needed to get a new IP address. This can be challenging, but here are some options.

1. Call your internet provider and ask for a new IP Address. I couldn't get mine to do this for me.
2. Change the MAC address on your wifi router. I did this and it worked.
3. If you have mesh routers with multiple nodes, you can swap one in place of the main router which is hardwire connected to your modem. Look up how to do this as the steps may be different based on your router. I ended up doing this.

Note that I ended up needing to get new IP address many times as the problem recurred because the root of the problem wasn't fixed. I also blocked devices in my house to try and narrow down the problem. This did not prove useful. I have three PCs and not sure which one(s) is the problem.

I have been having similar problems that started yesterday. I tried accessing Office Deport website from my laptop and it stated that there are no Office Depot locations in my country. I am in the USA. WHen I access the same webiste via my phone on WiFi I got the same message as my WIndows 11 laptop. When i discinnected phone fomr WiFi and used cellular, I accessed the website without problem.

I upgraded to WIndows 11 Pro last week. I Contacted my ISP and torubleshooted it down to the router. Swapped in an old router I had and the problem was resolved until today when it started again. This time I have an access denied message when trying to get to Shark Clean (vacuum) website. "You don't have permission to access "http://www.sharkclean.com/" on this server."

Suggestions?

In addition to my other website (Pottery Bar blocking my access), I just received this message today when I tried to open my Telus mobility bill:

"Application error: client-side exception has ocurred (see the browser console for more information"

This is now a VERY big problem, I don't mind checking other websites on my phone, but my mobility bill/website has two levels of authentication and I simply need to have access to this website, in order to review and pay my bill on time.

Any ideas?
