Netflix error on Edge Chromium

I am discouraged that this problem has not been fixed after several months. I am a long-time a Netflix subscriber. Since I upgraded a few months ago to the new Edge Chromium browser, Netflix always returns error code D7353-5101. Refreshing the browser screen always allows Netflix to play normally. Even so, it is a damned nuisance. Netflix support says that Netflix does not support the Edge chromium browser, and  recommends using Google Chrome or Firefox browsers. It would seem to me that not supporting a widely used service such as Netflix would be a very big negative that Microsoft would want to fix. Yet... months go by and no fix.

Before anyone asks, I do not use third party AV. Windows has been updated since the problem appeared, and is up-to-date.

Update - the 5C release is KB5003214. This has an additional fix for the signing issue that caused the symptom investigated here.

Thanks

Arvind

KimKelvin1 - does the symptom persist, or go away after, say, a browser refresh or restart? Can you share your Edge version number (from edge://version)?

    Thanks

    Arvind

Hi Arvin yes it does persist even i restart the PC, modem / router, even wipe the whole data (browser history, cache cookies, logins and pass) from Edge, im using

Thank you, i hope it gets fixed sooner as anything on netflix atm is unwatchable for me on my pc as my monitors are all 1440p and a 4k tv :(

Sorry to hear that! Just to set expectations, this release includes several other fixes (including for a particular root cause that caused the Netflix symptom) so it will go out.

I'm going to follow up with you privately to identify what is going on specific to your set up, assuming you're OK with that. There seems to be at least one another root cause of this symptom.

    Thanks

    Arvind
