Hi Morgan you can use this article https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-sysupdate-access-old-edge as I did and solved my problem. I did the update of edge from the windows update because I heard some hearsay about the new edge that it has new features like a built-in dictionary and smooth pdf reader but when I updated it from windows update I found nothing in this new browser so I was deceived too. after searching a lot of articles I found this helpful even if you can't uninstall the new one noway. this article shows you how to have the edge legacy besides the new edge if you do the steps precisely without mistakes you will have the edge legacy as I have now and it is working like before without any deleted favorites, passwords and etc. hope to solve your problem and the others that have the same problem.

    best regards.

I tried this. Did not work. The 'Uninstall' was muted out. Only the modify wasn't. So I clicked 'Modify'. That did not do anything either except take me to a page which did not help. Then it was muted out. Hence, here I am looking for another way to revert back to the previous version of Edge. This new version, seems to have slowed down my computer. It is around 10 years (laptop).

Removal using powershell also fails as this is an "internal app".

    Error states HRESULT: 0x80073CFA

    And I did a manual installation on W10 - 1903

    Hi MorganRiley

at the moment Microsoft allow us to uninstall Edge chromium which will automatically reinstate legacy Edge.

settings -> apps -> apps and features

click on Microsoft edge and click the uninstall button

I am trying to go back to my old Microsoft edge and it wont work
