Microsoft Edge on Mac crashes

I recently heard about the Microsoft Edge available on Mac and decided to try it out, so I downloaded on the website and follow the instructions. But once it's installed, the app pops like like any other Mac apps, but it instantly crashed and closed by itself, even with several times of reinstalling. Is there anything I could do to fix this? Like something needed to change in the settings?

    diskutil resetUserPermissions / id -u.

    REMOVE ALL EDGE and install the latest BETA Build and run the above command and try again!

    That makes no difference on my mac. It crashes whether that box is checked or not.

    Copy from the crash page:

    "

    Exception Note:        EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY

    Termination Reason:    Namespace CODESIGNING, Code 0x1

    "

    So it is the code signing that is not right (according to my mac).

    I had the same issue. With each download, I was unchecking the box which said "Help Microsoft improve our products by sending crash reports, info about how you use the browser, and websites you visit." Only when I downloaded the browser and left this box checked would the application launch. Not sure that's the behavior you want from a browser that is selling itself on privacy.

    It doesn't open much at all. It hardly works, but I am still using it. I updated to Edge 86 Dev, which takes about a few crashes and then it gets fixed.

    I have switched to Edge from Chrome for a few days because Edge consumes much less CPU. I really like using it, but since yesterday the crash issue suddenly appeared. It's really annoying, while I am watching the online course or website, it just crashed without any reason. Now I need to switch back to Chrome, unfortunately. Hopefully, MS can fix this issue soon and release an update.

    OS: macOS Catalina version 10.15.5

    Edge version: 84.0.522.49
