Profile picture in new Microsoft Edge won't update

The new Microsoft Edge won't update my profile picture; it is still using an old one.

Steps that I have taken:

1.  I have updated the picture twice online in my Microsoft account.

2.  I have deleted the old picture from both of my Windows 10 systems.

3.  I have deleted my Edge profile several times.

4.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Edge.

Nothing that I have done seems to help. Would like to know if this is a bug or something else is going on.

    Do you have to do something after this, because I successfully changed the picture file, but my old picture is still showing up?

    Yesterday I updated my Profile Picture for my numerous accounts, and while mainly a painless process I encountered this same issue on my instance of Edge. MSA profile pictures system is all over the place since I had to manually set it into my online account, my Windows laptop and Skype in order for it to be the same, sadly the problem persists on Microsoft Edge (Chromium) where no matter what I've tried to do, the profile pic shown is the old one.

    This is so frustrating since it should be something that just work, it does with Google Chrome I'm not ashamed to say.

    What helped me is I just signed out of my account in the browser and then signed in again. :)

    That's really helpful, thanks. If you have more than one profile, work and home say you have to change the pictures in each profile.

    I signed out and then signed back in, within Edge and it worked. I noticed however that my old picture is still in the Word (app). I didn't have time to try and get that fixed but I thought I'd note it here in case others have this problem.
