remove Bing from microsoft edge

My question is very simple that is HOW DO I REMOVE BING AS SEARCH ENGINE FROM MICROSOFT EDGE.

Please, please and please give me a simple  and direct answer or solution and not by "beating around the bush"

I am getting very fed up with Bing appearing as my search engine. I never as for it but how come Bing came in as my search engine. There are thousands if not millions that HATE Bing. Why is it still there, JUST REMOVE IT OUT FROM THE WEB or whatever permanently.

PLEAE HELP ME TO REMOVE BING IN A VERY SIMPLIFIED  STEPS!

Assuming you're using the Chromium-based Edge, open Edge settings [click ⋯ (Settings and more) > Settings], then choose Privacy, search and services > Address bar and search > Manage search engines. You should see Google as an option. Click the ellipsis (three dots) at the right end of the entry and choose Make default.

    Brian, please avoid jargon/lingo.

    It may not seem like that to you, but it may (almost always will) seem as though it is written in Japanese to everybody else.

    e.g.: "Chromium-based Edge" does nothing for me, and probably not for most people who are resorting to this forum.

    The first response from most of the Microsoft® Windows® users is:

         » What the hell does that mean?

         » What is a "chromium-based" web browser?

         » I thought all software apps are digital; I've never heard of one which is built our of metal!

    Yes Brian I know how difficult it is to gauge the users'  level of expertise.

         » If you presume they understand but they do not

    There is a solution — tiered levels of support.:

    Is this possible Brian, to make a multi-tiered support forum?

    ... I still do not get my default search engine upon selecting a new tab!

    On the page where you changed the default search engine there is another setting: Search on new tabs uses search box or address bar. Change this to Address barto use your preferred search engine on the new tab page. 

      

    The page you want is edge://settings/search 

    The only differences you'll see on the new tab page are that the Bing logo disappears, and the search terms you enter will appear in the address bar, not in the search box.

    Cortona is like Google Assistant and Siri> Cortona will always use Bing. 

    Edge can be changed. First make sure you are in Chrome Edge not Leagcy. YOu can change the searchc engine. 

    Yes, Edge chroem will isntall ON S MODE
