Hello,
Edge version 97.0.1072.62 contains the fix and will be installed per your regular update policies over the next day or so. If you'd like to force the update immediately, you can head over to edge://settings/help in the address bar or Settings > About Microsoft Edge and trigger the update manually.
If you've made any registry edits or GPO changes as mitigation, you can revert those after the update!
People are free to be anti-Edge, though it escapes me why anyone would be 😕; bit like looking a gift-horse in the mouth❗But aside from that, it came to my Inbox from this thread someone suggesting/recommending using Internet Explorer, instead 👎👎
Using defunct Internet Explorer should never, ever be suggested or (worse) recommended. DO NOT even give a thought to IE❗
It was, also, said to install & use Adobe Reader for PDFs, instead of Edge... NOT NECESSARY❗ The OS comes with a built-in PDF Reader and PDFs can be open via other ways than in Edge, BUT there is no longer any need or reason to put a 3rd Party PDF reader in Windows (10 or 11).

I totally agree with you.
The solution is SIMPLE and effective!
Keep MS Bing/Edge open as a minimized box out of the way. The Maximize/Restore Down toggle, can be kept in Restore Down and the corners carried to the minimum size - about 1" x 4". This is a surrender of a portion of the screen in exchange for not having to see ANY Bing/Edge noise pumped onto the page and not having to take the time or thought to close it, is worthwhile. I don't even see it anymore, out of sight, out of mind, just a white rectangle in the corner.
Hi Abdul, I did get it to change so it starts up with Yahoo as my homepage but I did so many things I'm not sure what changed it back. I looked in settings and had already turned that off but thanks for your reply anyway. If others have this same problem, just keep reading and trying different things, make sure that your choice web browser is set to open upon opening the browser.
