Hello,
Edge version 97.0.1072.62 contains the fix and will be installed per your regular update policies over the next day or so. If you'd like to force the update immediately, you can head over to edge://settings/help in the address bar or Settings > About Microsoft Edge and trigger the update manually.
If you've made any registry edits or GPO changes as mitigation, you can revert those after the update!
Feel like this is much simpler solution:
Go to start up apps.
Turn off Microsoft Edge
Please try and test it yourself first! It never works! Many people said this many times!
Hi David, I did finally get Yahoo to open up when I opened my browser, I did so many different things that I honestly don't know what changed it back. Under Privacy, Search, and services (in web page settings) at the bottom of the page make sure at the very bottom of the pagge that "search engine used in the address bar" has your choice of brownser set, then "manage search engine" has that set to your browser too. Also, in your computers settings (not the web page settings, the one with the wheel with updates, etc.) go into "default apps" and make sure that the web browser setting is set to Microsoft Edge, I had internet explorer and when I changed that default to Edge, I think that's what made it work. Back to the web pages settings, under "appearance", scroll down to "Select what button to show on the toolbar", make sure that the "home button" (not the "new tab page" button) is set to your choice, example: I have https://www.yahoo.com/ set on the button. I also eliminated any extensions that might be a home page. Hope this helps
I've done that already before and this doesn't work
