Hello,
Edge version 97.0.1072.62 contains the fix and will be installed per your regular update policies over the next day or so. If you'd like to force the update immediately, you can head over to edge://settings/help in the address bar or Settings > About Microsoft Edge and trigger the update manually.
If you've made any registry edits or GPO changes as mitigation, you can revert those after the update!
This will not do it. Edge keeps starting after every reboot!
I am so busy and this browser keeps opening. I am using every stay calm tactic known to mankind and
IT ISNT WORKING !
MICROSOFT ADMINISTRATORS ARE BEING COVERT AND USING POWER AND CONTROL TACTICS TO
ABUSE THE PUBLIC !
HEY BILL AND THE MICROSOFT BOARD :
I WANT A DIVORCE FROM MICROSFT EDGE!
NOW.
i did all that and it IS turned off yet it STILL starts!!! this is intrusive and unacceptable as it does not even show up in task manager under startup apps either.... i feel I cannot trust microsoft with issues like this happening... there seeems to be no fix!!!
Doesn't work. Nothing in this post or any other website works. Microsoft insists on shoving this POS browser down our throats. I don't mind if you want to include this **** in your OS - I dont have to use it. But this is practically the only Windows App where we do not have a choice to start it when we reboot.
So hoping for the day a competitor comes out so my company can finally break ties with Microsoft.
