Whenever I needed to view a pdf I always used Edge because it has a table of contents in the sidebar, but now that I'm using the new Edge, it no longer seems to have that, I was just wondering if this is a feature that hasn't been integrated yet, or if there's an alternate way of getting it back.

The table of contents feature is now available in the Stable release Edge 86 released October 9th.

Try these steps.
It should work, follow this image below uninstall this update as path specified on the control panel; uninstall Windows update(the one highlighted in my screenshot).
then do these things
Step1: Open Control Panel
Step 2: Uninstall Microsoft Edge (This new version)
Step 3: Restart your system
I've been trying to uninstall Microsoft Edge from the Control Panel but there is no option to uninstall it. There is only "Change" but even when I chose that option, and click it, nothing worked. Nothing changed. It's as though I did nothing.
