Troubleshooting website display or functionality issues in Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Good evening.
After this last updating of Microsoft Edge, the pen icon is missing. I like to save and write on my Web pages. Can someone tell me how to fix this?
Thank you

I totally agree with Kristin. I only had Edge installed on my computer because the Pen Tool and now it is gone.
I'm back to Chrome with the Web Paint extension to have a tool to write on the screen.
(Now, how stupid can a developer be to discontinue the one feature everyone was crazy about? )
Thank You MS for taking away my browser!
NOW I CAN'T USE MY PEN AT ALL.
I HAVE A SURFACE PRO 7!
TO SAY I AM PISSED OFF IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!
I'm jumping on the bandwagon a little late on this, but I just updated the browser. The loss of the markup capability is a real disappointment. Why take it out? I really enjoyed using it and it was a deciding factor in using Edge over Chrome. Now, what's the point? I can just use Full Screen Snip on either one, but it's not the same.
Please bring it back.
Same here. I'm a researcher and I need to annotate papers I'm reading. I updated my Edge last night because I kept getting an error message when saving and annotated pdfs wouldn't save at all. I can write on them, and have managed to get the highlighter function back but can no longer add typed comments to pdfs, or annotate web pages. This is a HUGE retrograde step Microsoft!
Just a heads up: Inking feature is planned but no ETA.
