How to prevent Microsoft Start page from coming up when I click on a news article in the New Tab page?

I am having same issues as everybody else here and it just started today. Need a fix ASAP or I'll delete edge.

Fix does not work for me as well. Cleared out all my settings, cache, cookies, etc. Still being redirecting to "https://www.msn.com/en-us/feed"

why doesn't someone from microsoft answer this question instead of an independent advisor?

Here's the steps you can try.

Reset the Edge

-Open Edge and click the 3 dots at the upper right side of your screen.

-Go to Settings

-Look for Reset Settings

-Click Restore settings to their default values.

(This will reset your startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It will also disable all extensions and clear temporary data like cookies. Your favorites, history and saved passwords will not be cleared.)

Restart and check.

If issue persists, you can re-install the Edge using this link below.

Download and install the version (96.0.1054.62)

Restart once done and check the Edge.

I'm having the same issue and it just started today 1/4 around 11 am EST. I tried what that tech said but it didn't work either. Microsoft fix this!
