How do I highlight PDFs in the new Microsoft Edge

There is no "Enable Text Highlights"

Just select (drag the mouse pointer across ) the text you want to highlight and right click and select the option highlight and choose the color.

As a Surface Pro user, I'd like to use my stylus to highlight, and like to request a stylus enabled way to highlight text feature like the old Edge browser. 

Even simply allowing my stylus to highlight text, like I could with a mouse / touchpad, as currently the stylus does not allow you to select text

Please be our mouthpiece and convey to Microsoft the silliness of their devt. Not only does the new app (i refuse to call it the "new edge" because it hardly has any) not allow highlighting in PDF, we also can't change the ink colour and thickness, like we used to be able to do in the previous version.

I was hoping the new app would allow us to copy / cut or move our handwritten notes or even have the ability to recognise our handwriting and convert it to typed text, like some of the Apple Apps are capable of doing. The new app is hardly an update - it's a downgrade and a disappointment.

If I eventually have to resort to using an ipad and Apple Apps, Microsoft will be losing this customer possibly forever.

Was this issue solved? I just upgraded to the new Edge, lost the highlight feature for PDFs, followed the instructions in this thread ("turned 'on' via the edge//flag..."), and I *still* can't highlight in my PDF's. The only option is to "draw" in them. I have a Microsoft Surface Tablet, so use the 'pen' stylo to highlight. 

Please advise! I want the old Edge back :-( 

I have the same issue. Tried using my stylus and it just won't work.
