How do I highlight PDFs in the new Microsoft Edge

I just downloaded the new edition of edge and now when I open PDFs I do not see the option to highlight.  Does anyone know?

    Please note on the screenshot below, that I am at the "edge://flags" URL.; I have searched for "Enable Text Highlights for PDF"; and the page indicates that there are "No matching experiments."

    Hi, anyone experiencing the same problem? 

    Now the highlighter is back while reading PDF on Ms Edge. However, when I am using my surface pen to highlight as usual, the highlighting function didn't move with my surface pen s motion... I can just click to highlight one word or use mouse to highlight smoothly.. 

    And it seems that the eraser got some issue too

    In order to highlight in the new version of Microsoft Edge (PC)

    1. select the text you want to highlight and right click,
    2. select highlight
    3. pick a color

    If anyone can figure out how to delete a highlight once it's been set, I'd like to know.

    I just updated to the latest version of Edge, which I use to easily markup PDF files when I am studying. This capability was honestly the only reason I was using Edge and didn't download Adobe instead. Now, instead of being able to just drag and highlight in a chosen color, I have to go in each time I select a block of text and right click, then choose the highlighter every single time. Why would you take away something so basic and only required 1 step and make it into 3 steps? Now I'm going to have to go ahead and switch over to Adobe to save myself time and annoyance.

    yup they just force downloaded the update now. Cant believe a billion dollar company makes their stuff progressively worse as they update it >.>
