How do you stop edge from opening a new tab every time you click a link???

Microsoft made disabling this feature such a chore, and navigating settings didn't help one bit. I figured I'd ask on the forums before ditching edge all together.

    It didn't work, and I am angry that microsoft is trying to force me to use her browser. I have a default browser and microsoft has no business overriding it. I have also followed the instructions and microsoft is probably mocking me. I had to go through the same nonsense on another laptop I bought. I believe microsoft owns outlook. I have used outlook for a quarter of a century, but unless I get help with this, I will go to gmail. Perhaps this is the reason that about 85% of my customers have gmail addresses. EMM

    If this Windows computer wasn't needed for work I would throw it in the trash. Just another reason why I'm on IOS.

    It might be sound crazy, But in my device i found that it is because of ctrl button. Even though it is not pressed it is taken. So ctrl+right click opening new tab...

    Pressing ctrl again solved the issue... ✌️
