Microsoft Edge automatically changes my upper case fonts to lower case regardless if caps lock is on or not.

My Microsoft Edge, suddenly, started changing all my upper case characters to lower case regardless if I have caps lock on or not.  I wish to disable this autocorrect.  How can I do this>

    Switch to Google chrome

    this is not a solution to the issue. especially since a lot of people moved from chrome to edge to escape the google bloatware issue.

    Hi Neil, I was searching a problem and saw this page with the same problem as I have, which is, when typing into the Edge search box I press "Caps Lock" to insert a capital which for a split second it shows the capital and then inserts a small case letter.

    It was some weeks ago I changed browsers from Chrome to Edge and I added Duck Duck as my search engine by clicking on >settings > privacy, search, settings > in > Address Bar & Search > and under > search engine used in address bar, I had Duck Duck Go as my search engine.

    Today I noticed that the Edge Omnibox or search box has a Bing icon next to the magnifying glass and not a Duck Duck icon and as I don't like or want Bing on my PC I naturally think the caps lock problem is a fault with the Edge/Bing search because it only happens when typing in the Edge search box and not in any other typing situation, so if this cannot be fixed it's back to Chrome for me.

    But it happens even when I'm not searching. Do you mean that access to MScEdge is through Bing?? One cannot use Edge without having to pass through Bing gateway?

    I think it's the Bing search Omnibox at fault, in my view everything Bing is rubbish, there needs to be an easy way to get rid of Bing search from the Edge browser and replace it with Duck Duck
