Page jumps when I press Backspace key while typing a comment on Facebook

When typing comments in Facebook using Chrome or Microsoft Edge, if I use the backspace key on my keyboard, the entire window jumps up a page so where I was typing is now just off the top of my screen and I have to scroll up to see what I'm typing and if I have to use my backspace again, it scrolls off the top, again.

Is anyone else's Facebook page jumping like this? It only happens on Facebook too by the way.

    Facebook is doing that thing where when I am typing in a comment and hit backspace or delete (Quite often, it seems) then it jumps the whole page up so my comment is above the screen - so annoying. It did that a month ago and now it is doing it again. Anyone know why it might be happening or what to do to fix it? It is doing it in Chrome.

    The problem is most likely not a "bug" in Facebook, but that what Facebook is doing is exposing a bug deep in the inner routines that Windows (?) is using to handle typing/formatting/(spelling error check?)/display in text fields.

    Zooming the display (plus or minus, for example Ctrl-+ and/or Ctrl--) generally will avoid the bug.

    I sure wish that somebody at Facebook would get in touch with the programmers responsible for the service that the Facebook programming is using (and them digging down likewise and with the people responsible for the lower-level routines being used, and repeat as necessary) until the real issue is found and fixed.
