When typing comments in Facebook using Chrome or Microsoft Edge, if I use the backspace key on my keyboard, the entire window jumps up a page so where I was typing is now just off the top of my screen and I have to scroll up to see what I'm typing and if I have to use my backspace again, it scrolls off the top, again.
Is anyone else's Facebook page jumping like this? It only happens on Facebook too by the way.

If you are replying to me, I don't even have windows 11.
It seems that by adjusting Chrome's Zoom a few times, the automatic scrolling seems to stop. By "original setting", they mean whatever "zoom setting" you were using originally. For example, if you were at 100%, then decrease it to 80%, then try it. Whether it auto scrolls or not, then switch the zoom back to 100%. Hopefully, that will correct it. It works for some, but not all. Also, not sure if this will permanently correct it.
Thanks. It was already set to 100. I increased magnification from 100 to 120 on FB and then set it back and all of a sudden it's OK. Weird
I have been having the same scrolling problem everyone else has been having. I would try to comment on someone's Facebook post, and my page would automatically scroll up to the post above the one I was commenting on. It did the same when I hit the backspace button as well. I changed the Zoom feature on the 3 dots to a higher zoom, tried to comment, still didn't fix it I then went back and did a negative zoom (20% less zoom) , tried to comment, did not work either. Then I changed the Zoom back to the original setting and BOOM ---- no more automatic scrolling.
Computers are weird.
I followed the guy's advice to click on the 3-dots in the Upper Right corner and change Zoom to 90% and then back to 100% (or whatever % you desire), I was surprised that this simple tweak worked. This issue is a Facebook bug. They don't seem to care to fix minor bugs, it's probably stuck in someone's "Things To Do" folder.
Cheers,
Kyd
Thanks for posting this!
I am using Chrome, with a Windows 8.1 platform, and it actually worked for me, too!
This has been problem for me for months!
Not sure if it will last, but I have hope that it might be a quick fix.
BTW, I agree .... this has to be a Facebook bug considering they have redesigned the platform to be more Android/iPhone-friendly.
I guess PC users can take a back seat as far as Facebook is concerned. SMH
Not yet. I have Dell desktop computer and Windows 10. Only problem is on Facebook. I reported with my video showing the jumping to Report a Problem on FB.
