Build 21277 - Hauppauge WinTV software stopped work

After upgrade Win 10 to the latest build, my Hauppauge Win-TV 10 software doesn't work. It will find the TV tuner (Hauppauge HVR-2200), but when I chose any channel, the screen is still black and I've got such info: "Er ror starting Live TV - Device in Use - Check Cortana is not using your Win-TV-HVR-2200 Serial:0". Which is strange, because I have no Cortana (in Polish Windows it's unavailable).

After reinstalling Win-TV 10 it can detect TV tuner, but when scanning channels can't find any except S-Video input (which is active, with cable TV STB connected to). When I chose in, I've got the same info as previously "Er ror starting Live TV - Device in Use - Check Cortana is not using your Win-TV-HVR-2200 Serial:0".

    MS Forums erases all emails from the replies, so if you want to trade email, we'll have to figure out a smart way to get around this issue.

    So, with your wintv-hvr-930c_driver_5_2020_0406_38260.exe driver, this is what happens on a 20H1 laptop.
    (NEC LM750/H WIN10 20H1 with latest updates).

    1. I run hwclear to erase all traces of Wintv. Reboot.
    2. I run wintv-hvr-930c_driver_5_2020_0406_38260.exe to install the WinTV driver.
      I bring up the driver install log and it installs successfully.
    3. I then mount the WinTV7 CD, and run the latest WinTV8 installer wintv8setup_35167.exe (I've also tried wintv7_cd_3.9g.exe with the same results). I do not update the drivers when asked. WinTV 8 (or 7) installs successfully.
    4. I reboot and launch WinTV8 (also tested 7). It runs fine with No Audio/Video sync issues.

    HOWEVER, there is now a NEW problem.

    1. I exit WinTV.
    2. I hibernate the laptop.
    3. I unplug the WinTV HVR 950 from the laptop (just as I'd do if packing up the laptop to go somewhere).
    4. I power on the laptop, login, and am at the desktop with nothing running.
    5. I plug in the WinTV HVR 950 into the usb port and INSTANTLY,
      WINDOWS 10 20H1 CRASHES with a BLUE SCREEN with STOP CODE: IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL.

    The mini dump and memory dump files along with the blue screen screenshot are here:

    The CRASH OCCURS every time I do steps #4 through #9 above.

    SERIOUSLY - MS likely messed up Windows 10 2004 and higher since crashes and issues do not occur in 1909 and older with WinTV v8 wintv8setup_35167.exe.

    Surface Pro 4, i5, 8GB, 256GB.
    Happauge WinTV HVR-950.
    Latest firmware.
    Tested with fresh (Full system wipes) ISO installs of 1903, 1909, 2004, and 20H1 + latest Surface Drivers + WinTV v8 latest download installer.

    Also, tested 1909, then upgrade to 2004 and test, then upgrade to 20H1 and test, on a NEC LM750/H notebook without a fresh system wipe + WinTV v8 latest download installer.

    On both systems, the same thing occurs - very high latency in 2004 causing A/V to stutter. In 20H1, driver doesn't want to fully install, so can't complete the install of wintv.

    Reinstalling 1909 on the SP4 + drivers + wintv8 results in perfectly working TV once again.

    Keep in mind this is a perfectly working HDTV TV tuner that reliably works for years from XP to Vista to 7 to 10 1909, so MS broke something.

    My hauppauge wintv 950 tv tuner stopped working since 2004 19041, so been waiting awhile for a fix.

    Worked fine from xp to 7, worked in fresh installs of wintv 8 into fresh installs of 1903, 1909, a/v stutters in 2004, but driver won't install right in 20h1, so the issue pre-dates the 21277 version of this thread.

    Hopefully, both the driver installation issue and a/v tuner stutter issue are fixed, too!
