General Random Write disk speed degradation in Windows 11.

After updating several machines from Windows 10 to Windows 11 users have noticed a significant degradation on Disk Random Write speed. This is quite noticeable with NVMe SSDs benchmarks, it also seems to affect SATA SSDs even if it is not as significant. See 3 samples below with 3 different devices on Windows 10 and Windows 11:

    Cool -- well at least it's some progress in the right direction. Perhaps we'll see more improvement as they further bug fix/tweak the OS!

    I Agree eapLM,

           However, it's nowhere near the write speed we use to have with the Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2 1tb drive. as you can see by my Before Win 11 specks below.

    But it is improving. Let's just keep our 🤞 and see what happens.

    I don't know anything about this forum. So how do we get this issue before the right MS people -- how do we get their attention? How do we know they got the message?

    Write report on FBH (Feed Back Hub), that is the official way to report problems to MS.

    I'm also hitting this on latest W11 + Samsung 980 Pro, Ryzen system. Downgrading to W10 fixes it.

    Yes, you are definitely seeing a slowdown on the Random Wites. 2116 to 471MBs, using a direct motherboard m.2 alot on a desktop PC motherboard.

    Since only my Asus laptop has m.2 NVMe, that is why my random write speeds had topped out around 850 on Win 10. With build .168 I've seen it go as high at 720-740 but also as low as 300. So something still isn't right.
