    This has to be an error on your side, I can change from dark to light and back again pretty much instantly

    I don't think so and my hardware is not the culprit either, my W11 22000.51 clean install on my Raspberry Pi4B has the same issue.

    This is W10 Dev 21390.2025 fully loaded with tons of apps on the same laptop

    Changes back -n-forth for me almost or basically instantly.

    Are you running on VM ?

    Hi fg,

    Watched Sibro's video. Wow. Just not seeing that delay in 2 vm's and 2 laptops on Dev. Only noticeable delay spotted on clean install using Search in Settings for UAC to shut that down. Maybe 5 seconds or so, never timed it. Result is instant in Win10. This one started a few builds back with Win10 Dev and carried over to Win11.

    Must be the same development builds 21387 and 21390 where they screwed up MS Edge IE compatibility mode .

    What kind of graphics card do you have ?

    Do you have the latest drivers installed ?

    Not everything is just the Windows side of it your hardware might have a bottleneck you are unaware of or an accessory connected that is keeping your system busy.

    If you could switch back to prior Windows would the problem go away ?

    See my post above for a sample configuration that shows the delay.

    Also, I can confirm that using Windows 10 on the same machine the switching from dark to light and back has no delay at all.

    Perhaps take a look with Dism; used incomplete command for example. Already specified the kb# of the CU (dated 6/25) that took the build to .51 going to Dev channel:
