Howdy! Within the last few days Co-pilot has went missing from the bottom right of the screen. It used to be an icon right of the system clock. My wife has the icon on Windows 11 Build 226321 and has the co-pilot app on the bottom right. I had the same build. Steps so far to try to fix this: I am logged into my Microsoft account(Start menu shows my picture) Copilot pro is active Updated Windows Installed Insider preview Beta and dev channels no change Checked Taskbar settings nothing about the program to toggle on or off Reinstalled copilot under apps I signed up for the subscription thinking that would help it did not. Ran sfc /scannow no change I DO have the copilot program on the PC but this one acts different in terms of how to access it. I liked the program preview version in the corner because it just popped up when I needed to use it. Now it's a separate window I have to snap to the right side, but the behavior is still very different. I don't like this. I don't know how to get it back to what my wife has. The program also appears as normal in Office 365 apps. Any suggestions on how I can get the copilot icon to how it was at the bottom right of my screen next to the system clock?

Has anyone ever asked you to 'Read the room' in real life? If not, I have no beef with you but with the environment that failed you. I might endeavour to ask, when you make sweeping statements like 'vast majority did not like it' and 'everyone had unsolvable bugs', do you have any data to back it up, or are you making some unfounded assumptions. What I do notice is that, at least on this thread, near about everyone preferred the old functionalities, and if I have to summarize what people are annoyed on losing is: Co-Pilot button, and its snap-in having the right side of the screen - for many of us, there was an association that had been created and the mouse moving to the bottom right when I had a query, had achieved some sort of muscle memory. The feature where Co-Pilot would "snap" into your current desktop by reducing the width of the windows proportionally without forcing you to do it on your own. It stayed visible automatically due to this while you tested the result/suggestions on your open windows. Go back and re-read the thread - try and count the number of people who tried to politely explain that they would like to have an option to get the old behaviour back vs those who are happier with the changes. Don't get side tracked by the number of messages where it seems that one person may have been trying to reply to everyone who does not agree with the change as if the quantity of that message would add some quality or weightage to that feedback. You may choose to reply, like you have been doing on every nay vote, but you would show maturity if you wait and let some other people who agree with your view, and who like the new setup more than the old, chime in. That way, you would not stick out as the sore thumb on the thread.

I am a UX & Research manager in a big corporate in Canada and I will talk about this with my team. They will really not understand why the preview version had a superior user experience... Yes, the preview version was very well integrated and well placed, on the right side. No matter what app we are working with, we click on it, and it opens a pane and it had a solid user experience. I got this sad surprise in my latest Windows Update and initially I thought that a simple option in the settings menu, will bring it back to the right side as it was before. Sadly not!! An integrated and practical CoPilot placed where it was before is now a casual app with an inferior user experience.... If users feedback influenced this decision to make it a casual App, then I am puzzled for sure... And even more puzzling, we did not even think about offering an option in the Settings menu to give the users the choice to bring it back as a pane on the right side.... I can't wait to see my UX team's reaction at work... So I honestly suggest, from both, a Windows 11 user's feedback and from a UX specialist perspective, to simply offer to users a menu option to bring back CoPilot's experience, if they want to, the way it was before (integrated on the right side). Otherwise, I doubt that I will have the reflex to use it at home or work the way I used to... Regards

Put your idea forward to the Feedback Hub, if enough people want it there and vote for it maybe MS we give us the option to move it where the user wants it. Copilot is out of pre View. This was a good move as far as the app goes but I loved having the original slide panel. Now I have to resize the page if I want to have it up on my screen with other apps open. An option for the slide panel would be nice so those that like it can still use it and those that prefer other options can take advantage of those. Please put my copilot back, I use it everyday! thank you

WHY DID YOU CHANGE IT MS, it was perfect I literally used it everyday!. Put it back! Install the Copilot App, it is much better, I hated the Copilot Preview side panel. 😂😂🤷♂️

Howdy!

Yes, the preview version was very well integrated and well placed, on the right side. No matter what app we are working with, we click on it, and it opens a pane and it had a solid user experience.

This was a good move as far as the app goes but I loved having the original slide panel. Now I have to resize the page if I want to have it up on my screen with other apps open.
