Spotlight Collection on 225XX

I had turned Spotlight Collection off after build 22523

because the desktop icon just kept disappearing.

I turned it back today with build 22526 and it was ok except

I only had Open in the right click menu.

The picture changed and once it did the full right click

menu returned.

Still not working here. It worked for a couple of days with 22523 and then disappeared, still not working with 22526.

I saw the same, but once the new picture came up

it changed to a picture there.

Nothing happened here, so I just restored a 22523 that had the spotlight working and updating it again to 22526 with the ISO I just created after the 1st update. We'll see what happens, but from what I see they still did not fix this properly.

Why do they keep changing the game and the silly interactive menu.

Feels like we are the Guinea pigs.

Also, every time they update the pictures for the Lock Screen they break this Background Spotlight collection.

Now I got 3 machines updated to 22526 and Spotlight collection today is not working on any of the 3.

Just the Default Whitehaven picture and no Icon with menu.

The cut option on the interactive menu does not seem to do any good, I get this error if I try pasting in any folder.

No explanation anywhere on how this different menu is supposed to work. 😒

The delete just eliminates the icon from the desktop, and there is no explanation on how to get it back.

If I create the shortcut and right click on it, it will let me open the file location which will show the desktop folder containing the Icon and the interactive menu.

The whole thing doesn't make much sense.

I think that the menu to switch to next picture should be part of a personalization settings screen not the desktop.

I think Spotlight has its own mind and only works when it feels like it. I have spent enough time trying to 6 pictures to work, well it's the new year, maybe a new spotlight that works is on its way

It sure seems to have its own mind, after disappearing for several days, it popped up again on 1/1/2022 on two desktops, it also let me switch to 5 different pictures using the interactive menu that showed up with the icon on the desktop.

Hard to see any logic on this weird behavior. 😎

Note that the menus are also different on the 2 machines, one has extra options to create shortcut, cut and delete which is not clear what they actually do.
