We are introducing a new Windows Insider affiliation badge for Windows Insiderswho are also active in the community. To receive the badge, the Microsoft account used to sign up for Windows Insider Program must be the same Microsoft account used on Microsoft Community. This affiliation badge will be awarded on a monthly basis and will remain with the profile as long as the user remains a member of the Windows Insider Program. Windows Insiders must sign in to Microsoft Community after September 1 for the badge to appear on their community profile.

Hello Gordon,
It seems that you (and me) are one of the few cases as stated by Suzy:
We do have a few cases where these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue of the missing badge. We have a bug open for this scenario and hope to resolve it in the future.
I tried that - it signed me out then automatically signed me back in!
However, just done it again and this time it asked for my sign in.
Yes, my MSA is the same!
Hello Gordon,
At the top right next to your profile name, a bit greyed out.. Sign out
It just signs me in automatically...... ;-)
