You will get an update to Windows 10 Technical Preview soon
We hope you are enjoying the current build of Windows Technical Preview. We promised you’ll get the latest build as soon as it’s available. Today we’re rolling out the first update: Windows Technical Preview build 9860.
If you’re using the computer when the update downloads, you will be prompted to reboot after which you’ll see the “Installing your apps” screen, and then the new build will be ready to use. If you leave your computer plugged in and on overnight, the update will be installed automatically. Once installed, the build number displayed on the desktop will be 9860.
More information about build 9860 can be found here but some of the new features include:
- New notifications through Action Center
- Move apps to other monitors with new keyboard shortcut
- Choose how quickly you receive new builds
Please keep letting us know what you think! We are using your feedback to build Windows 10.

2014-10-22T22:28:31+00:00 I have just updated my computer and the update made my computer almost unusable. I even had to install Chrome from Google just to be able to browse internet and give this feedback. In IE all pages are missing letters all over the place, and in Modern Apps I have the same issue almost everywere. The search bar in the start meny is showing no letters when I type and the results are missing a lot of letters aswell.
I dont know if this is driver related or something, but I hope I am not the only one having this issue and that you could find a fix.. I will gladly help with more details on this issue if you want.
I am having the same problem. My PC is almost unusable. Very slow and scripts lock up browser. It was working great when I 1st installed it. I am running version 9841.

2014-10-22T22:12:47+00:00 scrolling the windows without focus and clicking doesnt work in 9860, pls bring it back. in build 9841 we can scroll different windows automatically by only moving mouse cursor and no need to click to scroll a window. pls bring it back.

2014-10-22T22:00:08+00:00 I have the same issue, just with a different code (0x80070005)
it would be nice to have a checklist with codes (so we can check it if we encounter them or fixthe issue ourselves)

2014-10-22T21:41:28+00:00 After this update I can not save files in Excel. Just pressing the File tab or Ctrl-S just freezes it (Not responding) forever. Word seems to work fine. I'm using Office ProPlus form Office 365.
I also noticed the same problem with Nitro PDF.
Update: This seems to be solved after getting latest Office updates and rebooting.
