Clean install of Windows 11 Build 22533.1001 on VMware Player 16.2.2

If I remember correctly on with some older Windows and VMWare versions this line in BCD has prevent installing VMWare.

I gave another try both with and without "Windows Hypervisor Platform" and seems to be working either way, not sure which one was faster anymore, a previous attempt without WHP seemed to get stuck, but when I tried again it worked fine.

This other warning, I don't think I can do anything with the free Player, the options are only on the Pro version.

I could not find a way to get to this menu directly, had to wait for the Timeout on the default boot before getting this option. The change order doesn't seem to work, perhaps it is only for the Pro version?

I don't get any error.

I just cannot enable Core Isolation Memory integrity on the Virtual Machine.

With this machine my Host system is Windows 11 22000.438

Without Windows Hypervisor Platform installed, it couldn't even finish the installation of 22533 on the Virtual Machine. But when I tried again it worked fine. Not sure what was different. 😎

This looks new to me, have not seen this message when I installed on the old box.

I don't know what this means, I guess I will have to figure it out. 😉

Another new message:

Still got to wait about 60 secs for the timeout before it popped up the boot menu, then I selected the Virtual CDROM using the down arrow and pressed enter, then enter again on the next message for DVD loading....

When on this menu I can also Enter Setup and change the boot order but did not find a way to get to the setup directly before getting to this point.

And it booted from the Virtual SATA CDROM when I selected it on the menu.

I used the official 22533.1001 ISO.

Optimize works on the NVMe SSD, clearly not on the CD-ROM that should not even show on this screen:

Memory Integrity cannot turn on for the Virtual Machine, even if it is on and fine on the Host.

The installation of 22533 takes much longer on this VM guest with a fully compliant Windows 11 Host than it takes on my old MSI legacy BIOS Laptop.

Unless there is a better setting with the Pro version of VMplayer to improve the performance, this looks quite slow on a Fast Desktop like the XPS 8930.

Really not impress with this at all. The V.M. passes for all the requirements, but the performance is pitiful.

And they want 200-250 $ for this! 😛
