I was trying to complete the search challenge on Microsoft Rewards and it's not counting even though I click on it and when it took me to the search bar I just searched a couple random stuff and it still wasn't working. How do I fix this?

It will remain broken for the foreseeable future. I don't think they are going to fix it any time soon.

It's not broken. Its by design. They offer users a carrot for using their browser and their search engine, then 'throttle' down those rewards for users who take the carrots being given. Apparently you're only supposed to use Bing search casually, otherwise their AI will detect that you are searching "just to get points" and throttle you down to 3 or 4 searches every 15 min for an undetermined period of time (days, weeks, month?):

What they ignore is people like me who have actively switched to MS Edge from Google Chrome over the past year because of those carrots. Do I speed through my searches each morning on Edge or on the Bing app to get the max points? Absolutely. Because ... you know... life to live out there away from a screen the other 23.75 hrs in a day. I still use Edge as my primary browser and go-to for searches on my PC and mobile devices through the day, when needed, but probably not as frequently as they want for me to get the full 150 point daily search max. They're trying to tie people to their screens. No thanks. I liked the rewards feature as a "thank you" from MS for consolidating my use of daily use apps and browser to theirs, and then putting the few $ those rewards represent towards an xbox download or game pass subscription. Now that I've been 'throttled' though it feels disingenuous and a little slimy to imply that earning those reward points quickly each day means I'm a 'cheat' rather than the regular MS consumer I am simply taking them up on their reward for making the switch to their products. In the end its a freebie, so can't really complain. We're all free to use whatever browser or search engine we want. So maybe its time to transition back to other platforms and just use the MS products I have to for work and leave it at that.

Microsoft shows that it does not care about this issue.

This issue has been annoying me so much. Sometimes it will fix itself but then after gaining 9 or so of my daily PC Web searching Rewards points it will just no longer work. Anybody know how to fix this? I've tried so many different browsers too. I'm currently using Bing on the Brave browser.
