Is Microsoft Cashback a scam?

Same here, except it was Home Depot... I have about 6 emails back and forth and getting nowhere. They refuse to call me and explain why, only that they "regret to inform me" that it was not eligible.

Scam, scam, scam in my experience so far.

So here is the deal Microsoft has no customer service people for cashback and they send you links that are totally useless since you have already probably tried them and then they want to keep your money if you do not collect it in a certain amount of time but if you change your aliases on your account it takes 30 days for it to be changed by someone and by then your money is gone. Wow Microsoft once I get away from you I will never use Microsoft again and I am filing a formal complaint with the BBB. If you are here on this site they are getting paid for this as well with no resoultution to your problem. Shame on you Microsoft and I hope you truely pay for this one day and trust me you will.

Has anyone been able to OPT Out of Rewards / Cash Back? I have sent emails and feedback multiple times - Opt Out link only takes me to "error" screen with options blanked out as my account is suspended yet I am receiving notices via email that I am earning Cash Back, thus MS is continuing to use my purchases for my profit, but not sharing it with me as they are required/agreed.

An ideal Class Action suit - So everyone KEEP your records. In the meantime, I have stopped using Edge and switched to Firefox and Chrome as I am unable to protect my privacy from MS. As a lifelong shareholder and customer, I hope they get it together soon.

Same experience here. Bought a pretty hefty order from Home Depot thinking I was going to get 8% cashback by clicking through the promotional Microsoft Bing Cashback email sent to my email. I clicked through, ensured I was signed in my Microsoft account, and placed my order. There was no confirmation or anything that the cashback would be offered or was confirmed. I contacted customer service who got back to me requesting the order information...then nothing. I followed up 4-5 times, each spaced with some time in between so it wasn't repetitive, everyday pestering. But still...nothing. It's pretty obvious they're avoiding customers after googling, as this seems like a consistent issue. There's no excuse to not even write back for over a month, even if "understaffed" as another comment on here claims. This program is nothing short of a scam, and I hope no one supports it...as it seems like they're probably just taking all of the proceeds that come with the partnerships with the other companies.

My issue is the inability to claim the cashback they say I have earned. I have repeatedly deleted and then added back the phone number. I repeatedly get the message that before getting the cashback I have to add a phone number. Honestly, my time spent on this over the last year is not worth the so called cashback I have earned.

I tried to unsubscribe from the emails, but can't find a way to do that either.
