I can't add a phone number to my microsoft account on microsoft rewards.

Well just so everyone knows, the actual problem we're facing is the phone numbers we have and are trying to enter onto our account is already associated with another account so it's erroring out and not telling us. The online chat rep I was talking to was very helpful as far as what the problem was and why there was nothing he could do to help and it all boils down to Microsoft policies. He said they have taken away the abilities to make manual changes so basically unless rewards or Microsoft change their policies or we change our phone numbers to another one that hopefully isn't already associated with another account then we're just dead in the water.

it's crazy that my unused phone number somehow was detected by the system making me unable to add that (even though i've never used it my entire life), and then when i tried to add my mom's number it's working. thank you for your information.

Microsoft is purposely trying to stop us from redeeming our rewards. We can file a lawsuit if this continues.

This is exactly the same problem I am facing and no one seems to have a solution for this. I have sent countless emails to Microsoft support with no reply..

i cant whenever I do it on the phone thing it just says the verification method is not available right now and the tab I open just change to block can you tell me why?
