What is happening with Rewards?!

I was doing my daily searches on my computer. I finished 30 searches, which means I should have 150 points. When I checked, I only got 35. I also discovered that Microsoft removed the Edge reward points. On my rewards page, there's no circle for edge. And on my phone, it says 0/0 for Edge. So is Microsoft trying to lower opportunities or is this just a bug? Or maybe this is because of spam searches? It is for everyone or just me. This really has me frustrated and I need answers.

Sorry if I sound too aggressive,

Jacob T.

I have submitted several tickets about issues on mobile and on PC and I get no response at all. Microsoft points have changed. They lowered the amount and added delays to your searches to get any credit. The program has become barely worth doing anymore. They took away the edge bonus which is great because Edge is a piece of sh##. Now they have lowered the points and xbox quest numbers so low it hardly makes spending the time worth it. People should abandon Edge and BING and start using the other really great browsers available out there. And submitting a ticket is the same as writing a letter and folding it up really small and burying it in the back yard. No response either way.

Now it's over an hour and desktop searches won't move past 40 pts. **** do they want? At least publish the rules on how and what and when searches count. Jerks.

Hey Microsoft rewards, you are lousy. Now I have to wait 5 minutes after 2 or 3 counting searches. I'm supposed to waste my whole day thinking about going back to the computer and doing this? You've reduced points. You've taken away promotions. What do you care how long it takes me to search, you're still getting those clicks so you can pretend you're almost as popular as Google.

Sorry that your multi-billion dollar company can no longer afford to let us earn $5 a month

If Bing were truly superior to Google Microsoft never would have resorted to providing incentives to using its platform.

I imagine that they have decided that these incentives aren't achieving their goals, so are giving it the death spiral, which will likely migrate most of us back to Google...

I reported this to support and the response below, not sure if its a canned one, but there are a lot of language errors in it. I have not been able to get the PC search to work for over a week now. I also confirm that activities are now worth only 10% of their usual values, so that it will take you 10x longer to earn the same points. I can also confirm that the Xbox rewards is not working for me anymore either, its empty.

It's a pretty crappy way to treat existing customers, and also very pompous of the company to think that they can poop on us without recourse because we have to 'take it'. I cancelled my core membership, because I'm not seeing the value anymore and I am not sure I want to reward MS for this kind of behavior right now. Many may not be able to do that, and like me, may have a large investment in a practical game library [non-game pass]. So it's frustrating but here's hoping that things may change in the future for the better.
