Why is Microsoft Rewards limiting how much I can earn?

I've been doing microsoft rewards for around 2 years and I've gotten consistent points, but since last month Microsoft has been slowly degrading how many points I can get.

For example, they've been only giving 1 POINT now for each task I do instead of 10 points, basically no monthly punch cards, and they just deleted my edge search points.

Is this on purpose to limit how many points older accounts with more points can get?

(I dont want a "Thank you for your opinion, we are going to look into this issue" robot response please)

    Because with the enormous amounts of money they have earned in the past. they are now choosing to be greedy. They are not looking out for the average person like you and me. We mean nothing to them.

    This is what I have come to expect of them. Trust me, this is not the first time I have been wronged by Microsoft. I am looking at changing out my platforms on everything. I was going to setup shop with Microsoft. Now I wouldn't even rent an outhouse from them.

    Me too. I earn 250+, and only about 200 are accounted for.
