So sad that so many people have this issue yet no solution is being given by Microsoft :(
Surface Laptop 3 - When watching videos audio precedes the video
Hello,
I recently just purchased a Surface Laptop 3 15" AMD/8GB RAM a couple of days ago, and have noticed this issue since I've started using it.
Whenever a video is played either on Twitch, YouTube, Netflix, etc. after about a minute the audio will proceed to get further ahead of the video causing a horrible desync. I've used Chrome, Firefox, and Edge all to no avail.
I've tried updating the drivers on the laptop through the Microsoft site with the MSI installer, but that didn't work. I also tried to change the Realtek driver to the standard high definition driver but then the sound wouldn't even play so I had to revert that. I'm assuming that this is an issue either with the graphics not having updated drivers or the audio driver not being updated. I can't find updates for either of these drivers.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

2021-01-08T21:48:13+00:00 I have the exact same issue. Microsoft has made it harder for teachers to teach, and harder for students to learn. This is across every Microsoft device yet they act like it's a unique issue. Microsoft should be ashamed.

2021-01-13T07:03:17+00:00 I had been following this thread for a while because I was having the same exact issues with my new Surface Laptop 3 15'. I tried literally everything to try and fix it and nothing worked. Nothing. A couple of days later a random update for Windows 10 20H2 showed up and that fixed my problem.

2021-01-14T00:34:59+00:00 Hallelujah!!! Microsoft has finally resolved this issue...15 months after they introduced the Microsoft Surface 15" to the market. I am so happy...better late than never. Thank you!
