Surface Laptop 3 - When watching videos audio precedes the video

Hello,

I recently just purchased a Surface Laptop 3 15" AMD/8GB RAM a couple of days ago, and have noticed this issue since I've started using it.

Whenever a video is played either on Twitch, YouTube, Netflix, etc. after about a minute the audio will proceed to get further ahead of the video causing a horrible desync. I've used Chrome, Firefox, and Edge all to no avail.

I've tried updating the drivers on the laptop through the Microsoft site with the MSI installer, but that didn't work. I also tried to change the Realtek driver to the standard high definition driver but then the sound wouldn't even play so I had to revert that. I'm assuming that this is an issue either with the graphics not having updated drivers or the audio driver not being updated. I can't find updates for either of these drivers.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Interesting find.  I've been having the same issue, however I noticed something interesting that may help someone (who knows a lot more than me about this stuff) to figure this out.  I have a surface book 2 connected through the surface docking station which is connected to two monitors in addition to the laptop monitor (3 total).  As crazy as this sounds, when I grab an drag the Teams screen from my laptop screen onto my monitor screen, the delay issue stops.  When I drag the Teams screen back to the laptop screen, the delay returns.   I believe I have also seen an interaction with my Jabra USB speaker puck being plugged in or not, but the screen issue seems more repeatable.

I bought this laptop in late November and have been having this problem since day 1. I've tried all the possible solutions posted in this thread and nothing has helped. I don't know what to do, this problem aside I really do love this laptop and I don't want to have to return it... :/

I'm honestly thinking about returning the laptop, but was is the alternative?

The amount of issues I have run into is insane.

    • There is a noise coming under the f12 keypad.
    • There is delay in the video.
    • The cursor keeps freezing when I use it.
    • Their is a static noise when the sound is singificant.

I can't believe I paid over $1,500 for a laptop this bad is quality.
