Surface Laptop 3 - When watching videos audio precedes the video
Hello,
I recently just purchased a Surface Laptop 3 15" AMD/8GB RAM a couple of days ago, and have noticed this issue since I've started using it.
Whenever a video is played either on Twitch, YouTube, Netflix, etc. after about a minute the audio will proceed to get further ahead of the video causing a horrible desync. I've used Chrome, Firefox, and Edge all to no avail.
I've tried updating the drivers on the laptop through the Microsoft site with the MSI installer, but that didn't work. I also tried to change the Realtek driver to the standard high definition driver but then the sound wouldn't even play so I had to revert that. I'm assuming that this is an issue either with the graphics not having updated drivers or the audio driver not being updated. I can't find updates for either of these drivers.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

2021-02-12T15:12:00+00:00 I had same issue and latest windows release fixed it. They said they were rolling it out slowly but I manually updated. So annoying I know! But fully fixed now.

2021-02-12T15:04:35+00:00 I got my replacement a couple days ago. I thought everything was fine so I downloaded all my games etc, and now I've started noticing the desync problem again. As others have mentioned, I definitely think there's a correlation between having things downloaded that use a lot of space or work and the desync issue. Even if those things are not currently being in use, just having them downloaded on the laptop makes the problem pop up again. No idea what to do now- I love this laptop, I don't want to return it, so do I have to keep getting replacements over and over until I get lucky? But I've also read so many posts of other people who also got replacements and have also reported that every single one of the laptops they've had has the same issue. Really feeling hopeless...

2021-01-31T00:29:12+00:00 I also have the same problem. I've actually had 2 surface laptop replacements now (from a different problem). All of them had the same issue and I have no idea how to fix it. The laptop is fine until I download certain applications that I assume require a lot of work/space (examples are Adobe suite programs, Android emulators). I find that right after I download them, the audio desync begins to happen. It's worsened as I used the programs more.
Really hope this gets fixed or there's a solution - I really don't have the means to try get another replacement or a new laptop... if a fix doesn't happen, definitely staying away from Microsoft Laptops from now on.
